10th Wetlands & Watersheds Workshop

New Location!

The 10th Wetlands & Watersheds Workshop will be held in Ocean City MD at the Carousel Resort.  The untimely closing of our previous venue, has caused us to relocate and to reschedule.  The Carousel is a wonderful location on the beach in Ocean City Maryland.  The meeting facilities and sleeping rooms are first rate, but the room tariff is quite low.  Everyone who reserves their rooms prior to September 22 can get the government per diem rate of $74.00 per night plus all applicable taxes.  In addition, there are condominiums available on-site.  You could bring your family, or if you are a professor, you could bring your entire research group. 

Dates Have Changed!

Note the new dates are the same as our traditional dates October 22-25, 2007 - Monday through Wednesday Workshops with an optional field trip on Thursday.  Since we are beginning earlier than normal on Monday morning, plan to arrive Sunday evening.

Training Sessions are Back!

We will again host training sessions due to their great popularity last year.  Thanks to the generous support of Maryland Department of the Environment, we can again offer these informative and entertaining training sessions.  More about them here later.

Mid-Atlantic Chapter Will Meet With Us!

The Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the Society of Wetland Scientists are helping with our meeting again.  They are sponsoring a Student Poster Competition (see above) and having a meeting as well.  SWS Mid-Atlantic Chapter meeting on Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at 5:30 pm—room to be announced. All welcome—come hear updates on the May, 2008, SWS International Conference in Washington DC that we are hosting, fun opportunities that you can get involved with, and other Chapter news.
